Our story

Four generations at Lipowa 7

The Smażalnia Ryb Fala building with its covered terrace in the sun
  1. Before the war

“Willa Fala”: in a fisherman’s cottage on this very spot, Warsaw-style lunches were served to summer guests.

  2. 1991

One December evening the family decides to build a fish fry house. It starts with fried fish and bread. We were the third fish fry in Hel.

  3. 2005

A brand-new building and kitchen, and a new name: FALA — after the family tradition from before the war.

  4. Today

The fourth generation at the same address. Fish from Hel’s fishermen, local beers and a covered terrace.

With us

Terrace, dining room and the bay next door

  • The covered terrace with tables and lamps
  • A table by the window with photos on the wall
  • The dining room in the evening, with fairy lights and pictures
  • A row of local beer bottles on the bar
